Just wondering, how would you expla...Father bless!<br /><br />Just wondering, how would you explain Mary's holiness to someone (including an Orthodox someone) who does not subscribe to the historicity of the stories about Mary dwelling in the Holy of Holies, etc.? Given what we know of the Jerusalem temple -- women were not allowed into the Court of the Israelites, and men were not allowed into the Court of the Priests unless they were, themselves, priests -- and given that even the High Priest himself was forbidden to enter the Holy of Holies except for once a year, it seems exceedingly unlikely that the stories about Mary dwelling in the Holy of Holies are meant to be understood as literal history.Peter T Chattawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07395937367596387523noreply@blogger.com
