You are right. What I am saying is ...Dear Feetxxxl,
You are right. What I am saying is that there is some reality in physicality. Body and soul are only separated by death. What happens to me spiritually affects my behavior (e.g. fruit of the Spirit), and what I willingly do with my body affects my spirit (e.g. fasting, prayer, receiving Holy Communion). Of course what I have done physically or spiritually in the past does not limit my future life with God. Christ forgives abundantly and freely. Nevertheless, a change of heart produces a change of life (no matter how slight).Fr. Michaelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16981965403145920704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27139233.post-32959674096780284142010-01-16T20:16:39.757-08:002010-01-16T20:16:39.757-08:00what i am hearing is that there is some reality of...what i am hearing is that there is some reality of the spirit in physicality apart from issues of spirit. if so that is an old covenant understanding. under the new all reality is in the spirit and where the spirit rests. and it rests where it will regardless of belief system.

so rather than physicality consider that a 1john1 witness of the spirit ( that which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life) in felowship of walking in the light will speak to us what is of the spirit. that rather than a particular physicality showing what is of the spirit. it is the spirit that may or may not express itself thru a particular physicality and not the other way around.
case and point: it is living the three commanments of love that we not only follow the law but fulfill as christ did........christ who said follow me.............godlove being a spirit. the new covenant is all about spirit, sans physicality.feetxxxlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09931575208523991190noreply@blogger.com
